General Policies

Food and Drink

  • Drinks in closed containers are allowed
  • Food and drinks in open containers are not allowed.


  • Students are invited to use the Library as a collaborative work and study space. Students who require a quiet environment are invited to use one of the student workrooms on campus.


  • The Library gladly accepts donations of materials relevant to our collection, and magazines for our students to use in projects.
  • All donations become the property of the DI Library and may be processed or disposed of at the discretion of the Librarian.
  • Donations may be dropped off during regular Library hours.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

Cleaning and Sanitizing

  • The DI Library is cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis according to DI cleaning and sanitizing guidelines. Staff members wear face coverings and gloves when handling library materials.
  • As we are following REALM (Reopening Archives, Libraries, and Museums) Project recommendations, all library print materials will be quarantined six days before being processed and made available to users.
